Library Notes 6/1

Kids book Club

While running away from home and an unwanted marriage, a thirteen-year-old Eskimo girl becomes lost on the North Slope of Alaska and is befriended by a wolf pack. During her long and arduous journey, Miyax comes to appreciate the value of her Eskimo heritage, learns about herself, and wins the friendship of a pack of wolves. Author! Author!

Join us Wednesday June 7th at 7:30 for a talk by local writer Raymond Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard will discuss his new book, Unforeseen, and take questions about the authorial process.

Preschool story time

Join us Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. for a hopping good time. We’ll read books about frogs and other creatures of both sea and land.

Toddler Story time

Join us for this informal program. We meet for about half an hour Tuesdays at 10:15 for simple stories, songs and crafts. Children and their caregivers are welcome to stay afterwards to socialize.
