Library Notes 11/17

Deck the Tree

Readers are invited to bring a homemade holiday ornament to decorate the tree at the Train Station for Victorian Holidays. Bring your ornament to the library by December 1st and help us spruce the place up.

Holiday Hours

On account of the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Library will close at 5 on Wednesday, (as opposed to at the customary 8) and will be closed on Thursday. Normal hours will resume on Friday (9-5).

Pre-School Story time

Do you like things that are very big? Or very small? Come to the Pre-school story time for tales and activities involving the large, the small and the ugly – Monday and Wednesday at 10:30.

Infant Story time

If you’re a new parent looking to get out of the house, we’ve got the program for you. Bring your infant (birth-24 months) to the library Tuesdays at 10:30 for an informal program of books, toys, music and rhymes for the babies and the chance to meet other new moms and dads.

Phantom Tickets

The Altamont Free Library is organizing a group ticket purchase to see Phantom of the Opera on Sunday February 19th at 2pm. Call the Library. The group purchase results in a 10% discount on ticket prices. The discounted cost is 60.33 per ticket. Call the Library at 861-7239 for more info or to reserve your ticket by December 4th.

Read to a Dog

Jane is a Portuguese Water Dog who loves to be read to by kids. Sign up for a one-on-one read between 3:30 and 4 or stop by between 4:00 and 4:30 for open reading time.
